Civil Litigation: Representation to plaintiffs or defendants in state and federal courts with a concentration in business and commercial litigation, consumer litigation and insurance defense and subrogation cases. Typical litigation cases involve temporary restraining orders and injunctive relief actions, breach of contract claims and defenses, debt collection matters, deceptive trade practice prosecutions and defenses, and landlord-tenant matters (including evictions). Commercial litigation areas include contract disputes; business torts, including tortious interference with contractual relations, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty; officer and director liability; securities and shareholder rights; employee relations and benefits; insurance coverage; deceptive trade practices and consumer fraud.

Employment Law: Representation of employees in the following areas: prevention of employment discrimination claims based on age, race, gender, sexual harassment and disability; discipline and discharge; contract negotiation and preparation of executive Employment Agreements; Non-Compete and Non-Disclosure Agreements; drafting and reviewing of employee handbooks; implementation of personnel policies; development of employment applications and contracts; advice on drug and alcohol policies and compliance; mediation and arbitration of employment disputes; and employee privacy rights.

School Law: Representation of School Districts all over the State of Texas in a wide variety of school-related legal matters including civil rights cases, employment disputes, teacher/employee sexual misconduct, school discipline controversies, personal injury, contract matters, and school boundary disputes. Representation of private schools on a variety of legal matters including business formation and organization, employee handbooks and manuals, policies and procedures, contracts, risk assessment and consultation on general legal matters.
